CQUniversity

  • Introduction

CQUniversity Australia is truly focused on our students' needs, and that means responding to what, how and where they want to study. It's why we're now Australia's largest regional university, with 20+ locations across five states delivering both TAFE and university level qualifications in on-campus, distance and supported distance modes. And it's why we've opened a campus in the heart of Perth's CBD, joining our existing WA Study Hubs in Broome, Busselton, Geraldton and Karratha. Study on campus at CQUniversity Perth and choose from courses designed specifically to meet industry demands unique to WA, including options in business, echocardiography, hospitality management, medical sonography, occupational health and safety, and professional communication. Or choose from hundreds more courses available online and study via our renowned distance mode.

We pride ourselves on providing accessible, flexible education at world-class standards. In fact, our reputation in teaching, research, knowledge transfer, international outlook, inclusiveness and distance education has helped CQUniversity rank in the top 2% of universities worldwide*. Add to this more than 300 course options, smaller class sizes and fantastic graduate outcomes (CQUni graduates outperform the majority of Australian universities when it comes to study support, graduate employment and graduate salary outcomes**) and you can see why so many West Australians have already chosen to be what they want to be with the help of Australia's largest regional university.

  • Admission requirements

The selection process is based on eligibility and/or merit.
    • Eligibility relates to whether or not you meet the minimum entry requirements for a course such as prerequisite subjects, auditions, interviews, and English language proficiency.
    • Merit is expressed as a Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
    • If you have previously studied at university, merit is expressed as Grade Point Average (GPA).
    • If you satisfy the minimum entry requirements of your course, you will then compete for a place on the basis of your merit. Offers are made to applicants in descending rank order until all places are filled.
    • Please refer to our course listings for more information about minimum entry requirements, ATAR rank and merit indications for our courses.
We understand everyone's circumstances are different and are committed to making education and training accessible by offering many alternative pathways to university. If you are unsure you meet the eligibility and merit requirements for your desired course, contact our Student Advice team on 132 786 to discuss your options.

Please note that applications are currently only open to Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
