Emeritus Professor Andrew Taggart
Chair of TISC and TEQSA Expert

During a long and distinguished higher education career he was Acting Vice Chancellor at Murdoch University (2014-2016) and Provost (2016-2018). As Vice Chancellor he successfully led Murdoch at a time of leadership instability, rapid change and financial challenge and enabled a smooth transition to a new Vice Chancellor in 2016. As Provost he was responsible for leading and supporting the eight academic schools, providing key linkages between research and teaching and academic and professional staff. As Provost he provided leadership for domestic student recruitment and led local and regional engagement. He also managed the Directorates of Advancement (incorporating Development and Alumni relations), People and Culture and University Strategy, Planning and Performance. In 2022-23 he undertook the role of Interim Executive Dean for the School of Education at Edith Cowan University.

Professor Paul Brunton
Curtin University

Professor Paul Brunton joined Curtin University as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic in 2022, having previously been the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Health Sciences at the University of Otago in New Zealand for four years. He is responsible for the learning and teaching portfolio, specifically achieving the University’s strategic goals in learning and teaching and ensuring an outstanding experience for our students.

Professor Rowena Harper
Edith Cowan University

Professor Rowena Harper is ECU’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), with a portfolio that includes Library, the Centre for Learning and Teaching, Student Administration, and Employability. Professor Harper’s experience spans over 20 years of practice, research and professional service in higher education. She has taught in arts and humanities, enabling education and academic language and learning.

Professor Don Klinger
Murdoch University

Professor Don A. Klinger is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education at Murdoch University, in Western Australia. Previously, Professor Klinger spent 6 years at the University of Waikato in New Zealand, in the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor Division of Education, and 17 years at Queen’s University Kingston, where his academic career progressed through the ranks to Professor and included roles as an Associate Dean for the Faculty of Education.

Professor David Sadler
The University of Notre Dame Australia

David Sadler was appointed to The University of Notre Dame Australia as the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic in April 2024. Previously he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) at the University of Western Australia (UWA) from 2017-2024 and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students and Education) at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) from 2011 to 2017. David has led many initiatives around physical and digital infrastructure for education, student experience, curriculum renewal, sustainability and especially the educational attainment agenda, leading the Children’s Universities in Western Australia and Tasmania, which is now also operating in Western Australia.

Professor Daniela Ulgiati
The University of Western Australia

Dr Daniela Ulgiati completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours majoring in pharmacology and physiology and a PhD in immunology and biochemistry at The University of Western Australia. She then won an United States Arthritis Foundation Fellowship for a four year post-doctoral fellowship position at the University of Colorado in Denver. In 2002 she returned to UWA to take up a research and lecturing fellowship and was instated in her current teaching and research position in late 2007.

Andrew Crevald
Chief Executive Officer

Andrew Crevald is an experienced tertiary education executive with a background in IT, strategy and leadership. He holds a Master of Education degree from Murdoch University, where his research focused on strategic enrolment management. He also has a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Computer Science from the University of East Anglia and a Business Diploma from the Royal Society of Arts in the UK.

Terry Bhatti
Manager, Information Technology

Terry Bhatti is the Manager of Information Technology at TISC, a role he has held since 2015 following his roles as System Architect and Senior Systems Analyst. With over 20 years of experience in the IT field, he has previously worked as a senior IT consultant and project manager across various sectors in Western Australia. Terry holds a double major Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences degree from UWA, a double major Bachelor of Science/Mathematics degree from the University of Punjab Lahore, and several professional certifications.

The IT team is pivotal to TISC’s operations, providing crucial services, including infrastructure management, application development, cybersecurity, data management, ATAR calculations, results publication, and systems support to the organisation’s members and clients.
Georgina Ker
Manager, Application Services

Georgina has worked with TISC since 2016, starting as Applications and Publications Co-ordinator before moving to her current position as Manager Application Services. Prior to that she worked at TAFE Admissions and in the VET sector. Georgina has a Masters of Business Administration from Curtin University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.

Her favourite part of working at TISC is helping break down what can seem like complicated information, into a format people can understand – particularly for people who are the first in their families to attend university or who face circumstances that make the university application process challenging.

Outside of work, Georgina is an active community volunteer in her local school P&C Association and various community groups focused on active transport, sustainability and mental health advocacy.
